The Georgia Tech Roll Call Student Engagement Center is seeking to hire a group of responsible, enthusiastic students to serve as student callers for the 2024-2025 academic year. As an engagement center caller, you will play a key role in raising much-needed unrestricted funds for university facilities, programs, and scholarships. You will also help create, develop, and sustain the relationships between Georgia Tech and our dedicated alumni. 

This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong and articulate speaking voice, the ability to think on your feet, and a genuine affinity for Tech. Working in the Student Engagement Center is a great opportunity to improve your communication, fundraising, negotiating, and public relations skills for life after Tech.

About Us: The Energy and Sustainability Services (ESS) team provides engineering services and support to manufacturing companies in Georgia. Our team specializes in supporting manufacturers with their environmental/energy and safety management, environmental compliance and sustainability goals, including ESGs/SDGs. In the ESS team we are committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility by applying the pollution prevention approach. We are currently seeking a motivated co-op student to join our team to help support several projects with our manufacturing clients. These projects include working with manufacturing companies to help them implement ISO standards for environmental management (ISO 14001:2015) and occupational health and safety (ISO 45001:2018). This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
As an energy and sustainability engineering assistant, you will apply principles of engineering to support EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) professionals and manufacturing operators in establishing and implementing management systems that are based on measured data and monitoring activities needed to handle their environmental aspects. You will play a crucial role in assisting with our clients’ journey to ISO certification by a third-party auditor. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Data Collection and Analysis: Conducting robost data collection and analysis to support the development and implementation of processes and environmental procedures needed to fulfill EMS and OHS. Using Microsoft tools such as excel, ppt, word.
• Procedure Writing: Assisting in the creation and documentation of environmental and safety procedures and policies such as EMS Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (Wis), etc.
• Compliance Management Support: Supporting the monitoring and reporting of compliance with environmental regulations and internal standards to fully understand their risks and opportunities for the organization, including support in drafting WIs and SOPs to maintain compliance obligations.
• Workshop Facilitation: Assisting with organizing and conducting workshop sessions for our client’s personnel, including engineering, maintenance, operation, production and other staff to ensure understanding and compliance with ISO 14001 standards.
• Continual Improvement: Identifying opportunities for continual improvement in the environmental management practices.

The position will interact with students, parents, faculty/staff, vendors, and visitors.
